A: I am a retired teacher of nearly 40 years’ experience. I chose education because I’m more interested in the ideas than the lab work, and I wanted to pass them on.

A friend of a friend saw the ad in Madison and knew I wore a pair of unicorn earrings. So both of them forced me to write a response. My now husband replied with a unicorn bookmark and a computer graphic of a unicorn that he drew on his Atari computer. We corresponded for a while and finally had our first date at what is now Bristol Faire. And that year they did have a unicorn (yes it was a surgically altered goat.) We loved the costumes and the jousting. By January 1984, I moved in with him and we have been together ever since.

Q: How did you discover Answers?
A: I discovered Answers accidentally in 2009 but really didn’t do much because I was answering at Yahoo Answers. But I hated seeing all the people posting

Lindy, At a Castle in Wales
Lindy, At a Castle in Wales

illegal copies of books and movies. I think Answers is better because they care about the right answer and not the most popular answer.

Q: What do you enjoy doing on Answers most?
A: I like editing the best and I always try to answer a question when I remove a stupid or mean answer that someone posted. I think if you have a hobby, answering questions about that hobby on Answers is a fun thing to do, especially gardening because I can’t garden in winter. I have been searching questions on my favorite flowers and answering old questions or editing poor responses.

Q: And last, but certainly not least, tell us about one quirky or interesting random fact about you that most people may not know?
A: I was born November 9, 1952. I don’t mind saying my age because my father told me that on my birthday I could get one kiss per year from whoever I asked. So it gets better every year.
